After
working in the agricultural industry for many years, the Weedbug's
inventor realised there had to be a better way to get rid of weeds.
Mowing, spraying with chemicals that often had negative effects on
the environment, or utilising some of the clumsy wick applicators
were inefficient for one reason or another. Something that was highly
effective, yet environmentally friendly was sorely needed. The Weedbug
was the revolutionary result.
Over the next few years, the Weedbug was refined and the company began
securing commercial work. Initially known as Weedbug Services, the
company was renamed Centrogen in 1999 in an effort to demonstrate
it's commitment to total vegetation management.
