Quality Improvements
Centrogen
has demonstrated an ability to implement quality improvements to
golf courses and both high and low profile park and recreational
facilities. Reduction and continued control of invasive weed populations
is both more likely and more pronounced using Centrogen and Roundup
Biactive.
Reduced Maintenance
A 3-year trial was conducted from 1996 to 1999 across a series
of Brisbane Parks using the Weedbug technology to assess weed control
in small plots.
The requirement for vegetation maintenance was greatly reduced
in Weedbug-treated plots where low-growing species (Couch) were
able to dominate the sward due to control of taller grasses.
Mowing
frequency based on a 200mm intervention height was reduced from
a 35-45 mows per annum requirement in the untreated plots to a 12-15
mows per annum requirement in Weedbug-treated plots from year 1
of the trial.
Experience has also shown that the same reduced mowing regime can
be maintained with just 1 Weedbug treatment per year after year
3 of the program.
